Hello, I'm Steve.
I've lived in the Gironde region since 1987, when my father came here for work. From Talence to Pessac, from Gradignan to Saint-Selve, and now Saint-Jean-d'Illac, this region has been with me since childhood. I've watched it change and transform, and it's been part of my own evolution.
After ten years as a firefighter and travels that took me from Manchester to Malta, from Croatia to the Philippines, I learnt one thing: a place comes alive through the stories we share there.
I know these landscapes because I've been exploring them all my life: the Presqu'île d'Ambès where passionate winemakers work biodynamically, the family estates of Lalande-Pomerol, and Arcachon Bay with its oyster cabins and the Dune du Pilat. I have my favourite spots, my connections, my cherished moments — and that's what I love sharing.
My goal is simple: to show you the region as if a friend were taking you there. No mixed groups in my car : just your small party, for a day at your own pace, punctuated with conversations, explorations, and a picnic I prepare for you to share in a natural setting.
What really motivates me are the encounters: the winemakers who create wines on a human scale, the oyster farmers who preserve their craft, and you, who bring a fresh perspective to a region I experience every day.
Welcome to Gironde. Welcome to my home.
